RE: The Arc of Chemung and The Arc of Schuyler Enter into Strategic Partnership
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Elmira, NY | Watkins Glen, NY - The Arc of Chemung and The Arc of Schuyler Boards of Directors recently formalized a strategic partnership to share services and staff talent, and to explore joint ventures.
Both agencies are chapters of The Arc New York, the largest not-for-profit organization in the state offering programs and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
“A strategic partnership will be mutually beneficial for both communities. These are two fiscally and programmatically strong organizations planning for the future,” The Arc of Schuyler’s Executive Director, Jeannette Frank, said. “Both chapters have valued educational, nonprofit, and business partners who share our goal of inclusive services for people with developmental disabilities and their families. Our services complement one another and together, we can offer a greater range of services and more choices to the people we support.”
The Arc of Schuyler operates Schuyler County Transit public transportation, Franklin Street Gallery and Gift Shop, Seneca Shine Auto Detailing, and Glen Copack, a food manufacturing facility.
The Arc of Chemung provides residential, clinical, vocational and other services to more than 1,000 people throughout western New York and operates a National Association for Information Destruction certified shredding service through Southern Tier Industries.
“Our agencies share the same values and commitment to deliver quality services to people in our communities,” Sean Eagen, Executive Director of The Arc of Chemung said. “Collaboration creates new opportunities for people receiving services, our staff, and community partners in both counties. I look forward to this partnership and continuing the long history of successes by both organizations and being part of developing innovative services for our communities.”
