The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler Celebrates Golf Tournament Success

Elmira, NY | Watkins Glen, NY – The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler is pleased to announce that its Annual Golf Tournament, which took place on Friday, June 18th at the Willowcreek Golf Club in Big Flats, was a tremendous success!

 

Thanks to the generous support of the twenty-nine teams who participated, and community sponsors, the event netted more than $12,000 to support programs provided in Chemung and Schuyler Counties, for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and autism. Support from community members, at events like this, enables The Arc to provide meaningful opportunities for those we support, to develop skills and good work habits as a way of increasing independence, and to assist individuals in becoming productive and contributing members of our community.

 

Participants enjoyed a great day of golf, on-course contests, and chicken BBQ dinner. Congratulations to the winners of this year’s tournament, with a score of 59, Team Empire Access—Tommy Musso, Mark Harrison, Tony Dickson, and Dana Grover (in photograph).

 

Congratulations are also in order for the winners of our on-course contests: Closest to the Pin—Women’s: Kristen Kennedy Baccile, and Men's: Tanner Dupoy; and Longest Drive—Women’s: Felicia Lewis, and Men's: Dave Helsing.

The tournament included a Putting Contest, sponsored by Arnot Health, which provided one golfer the chance to sink a 50 ft. putt for a $10,000 cash prize.
