Elmira, NY | Watkins Glen, NY – The Arc Chemung-Schuyler announces the appointment of John B. Kennedy as the agency’s Chief Financial and Growth Officer, relocating back to his hometown of Elmira, NY.
John has more than 30 years of experience in finance and administration, with a strong focus in venture-backed startup and growth stage companies, where he spearheaded strategic expansion. “We are thrilled to add John's qualifications to our team,” said Sal Garozzo, CEO of The Arc Chemung-Schuyler. “His personal connection to our area and deep experience managing and expanding companies of all sizes will be integral to helping The Arc meet the growing demand in the disability arena.”
John most recently served as CFO of Inspire Semiconductor, Inc., a leading high-performance computing technology company. Prior to Inspire Semiconductor John was CFO of TriLumina Corp, a leading LiDAR and ADAS technology company, CFO of Sprocket Media, and VP of Finance and Administration for Primarion, Inc., all primarily emerging technology companies. John has also been involved in the local area with IncubatorWorks, Elmira College and Cornell University entrepreneur-related events. John holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from Elmira College.
“The Arc’s commitment to serving more people with disabilities lines up with my abilities to guide the organization through change and growth periods,” John explained. “My experience with new technology initiatives will further the agency’s supportive technology and other advancements, including initiatives to provide new avenues for the individuals and families we serve to utilize assistive technology to increase independence.”

“My mother, Roberta “BJ” McDonald, began her career with Chemung ARC,” John explained. “I have fond memories of volunteering with the organization during my youth. The Arc has served our community well over the years and is truly poised to continue to grow and change as needs evolve. I’m happy to be back in my hometown and honored to join this talented team with hundreds of passionate individuals and caregivers, dedicated to work together for the people we support.”
