Elmira, NY | Watkins Glen, NY – The Arc Chemung-Schuyler is pleased to announce that Sodexo was selected as one of the four businesses, statewide, to receive The Arc New York’s 2024 Employer Recognition Award.

 

Employers across the state are acknowledging the value of employing people with disabilities in their place of business. The Arc New York Employer Recognition Award provides Chapters the opportunity to recognize an individual, corporation, or business in New York state that has demonstrated outstanding support in providing services and job opportunities for people with intellectual or other developmental disabilities. The Arc Chemung-Schuyler is a Chapter of The Arc New York.

 

Sodexo, the food service company utilized by Bethany Village, has supported The Arc Chemung-Schuyler’s Career and Employment Support Services (Vocational Program) for a number of years, providing training and employment to individuals supported by the agency. Employment Support Services include person-centered vocational supports in a variety of settings, developing skills and good work habits as a way of increasing independence, and assisting individuals to become productive and contributing members of the community.
